DHAL VADA

INGREDIENTS

  • Chana dal - 1cup
  • Onion- 1
  • Toor dhal - 3/4cup
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
  • Hing - 1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Fennel seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Salt
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil
PREPARATION

  • Soak chana dal and toor dal for 2 hours.
  • Grind the soaked dal in a mixer grinder without adding water into a coarse paste.
  • In a bowl add the ground paste, onion, green chilli, curry leaves,hing, red chilli powder, coriander leaves, salt, fennel seeds, and mix well.
  • Make the mixture  into small balls.
  • In a pan pour oil for deep frying. make the balls into a vada shape and fry in the oil. (oil should be hot)
  • Serve with ketchup or coconut chutney.
