DAHI BANANASTEM CURRY

INGREDIENTS

  • Banana stem (vala thandu) - 1cup
  • Curd - 1&half cup
  • Onion - 1cup
  • Green chili - 4
  • Cumin seeds - 1/4tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4tsp
  • Channa dal - 1/2tsp
  • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Water -1/4cup
PREPARATION

  • Clean and cut the banana stem into small pieces.pressure cook for one whistle. (strain the excess water .water can be drunk by making soup)
  • In a bowl add curd , salt, and water .beat water and curd without any curdle.
  • In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, green chilli, curry leaves and onion.'
  • Once the onion is cooked transfer it to the curd mixture.
  • Add cooked banana stem into curd.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
