OATS SWEET PONGAL

Cooking time: 20 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • Oats - 1cup
  • Moong dhal - 3/4cup
  • Jaggery - 3/4cup
  • Water
  • Ghee -1/4cup
  • Cashew nuts,raisins,badam - 3tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4tsp
PREPARATION

  • In a pan add 1tsp of ghee and roast oats for 5-10mins.
  • Pressure cook the moong dhal for 2 whistles and mash well.
  • Once oats get roasted add 1cup water and cook well. add mashed moong dhal and jaggery and stir well.
  • In a pan add 2tsp of ghee and roast raisins, cashew nuts and badams.
  • Add roasted nuts and 2tsp of ghee and cardamom powder to Pongal and cook for 5 mins.
  • Serve hot.
