OATS PONGAL

Cooking time: 20 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • Oats - 1cup
  • Moong dhal -3/4cup
  • Pepper - 2tsp
  • Jeera - 1tsp
  • Green chili - 2
  • Curry leaves 
  • Cashew nuts -5
  • Ginger - 2tsp
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Turmeric powder -1/4tsp
  • Ghee and oil
PREPARATION

  • In a pan dry roast the oats for 5-10mins, cook moong dhal by adding 1cup and turmeric powder water in the pressure cooker and mash it.
  • Add 1 cup water to oats and cook well.
  • Add cooked moong dhal in oats.
  • In another pan add ghee and oil, ginger, jeera, pepper, green chili, and curry leaves and cook well.
  • Add cooked ingredients in oats Pongal and salt.
  • Cook for another 5 mins and serve hot.
