GARLIC RICE

INGREDIENTS

  • Basmathi rice - 1cup
  • Garlic -10nos
  • Onion - 1
  • Mustard seeds -1/4tsp
  • Curry leaves 
  • Red chilli - 2
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Pepper powder - 1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
  • Chilli powder or sambar powder - 1/4tsp
  • Groundnuts -5to7
  • Kasturi methi
  • Salt
  • Oil
PREPARATION

  • Soak basmati rice with 2 cups of water for 10 mins.pressure cook for 2 whistles and make it cool and keep it aside.
  • In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, groundnuts, onion, garlic, green chilli and red chilli
  • Once onion and garlic cooked well add turmeric powder, pepper powder and chilli powder.
  • Add rice, salt and Kasturi methi and saute well.
  • Serve hot...
