INGREDIENTS
- Brinjal - 2 (big)
- Onion - 1/2 cup
- Green chilli - 2
- Tomato - 1/4 cup
- Tamarind puree - 1/2 cup
- Curry leaves
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Chana dal - 1 tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Oil
- Salt
- Water
- In a stove burn the brinjals and peel the skin and smash it.
- In a pan add oil ,mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,green chilli ,curry leaves and onion.
- Once onion is cooked add tomato ,red chilli powder and salt.
- Add tamarind puree and cook for 5 mins.
- Then add smashed brinjal and cook for 10 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Side dish for idly and dosa.,
