INGREDIENTS
- Bengal gram - 1 cup
- Green chilli - 4
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 2
- Cardamom - 1
- Bay leaf - 1
- Onions - 1 cup
- Curry leaves
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Tomato - 3/4 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Coconut - 1/4 cup
- Cashew nut - 3
- Roasted Bengal gram - 1 tsp
- Water
- Oil
- Salt
- Coriander leaves
- Soak Bengal gram for 2 hours. Grind Bengal gram with salt and green chilli.
- Make a paste in the consistency of vada batter.
- In a pan add oil and fry vadas.
- In a pan add oil, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf, onion.
- Then add green chilli, curry leaves and ginger-garlic paste.
- After 5 mins add tomato,chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala,coriander powder,turmeric powder.
- Once it cooked well add water 1 cup.
- When the water started to boil add coconut paste.(add coconut, cashew nuts and roasted Bengal gram in a mixer grinder and make it a paste)
- Add vadas and salt in the gravy.
- Cook for 10 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
