MUTTON GRAVY


Cooking time: 1 hour

INGREDIENTS


  • Mutton - 1/2 kg
  • Jeera - 1tsp
  • Coriander seeds -1 tsp
  • Red chilli - 5
  • Curry leaves 
  • Small onion - 1 cup
  • Raw rice - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/2tsp
  • Cloves -2
  • Cinnamon stick -1
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Salt
  • Pepper powder -1tsp
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Coriander leaves


PREPARATION

  • In a pan add 1tsp of oil and fry jeera, coriander seeds, curry leaves and 3 red chillies.
  • Once its fried add raw rice and grind to a fine paste by adding little water.
  • In a pressure cooker add oil 3tsp, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, then add finely chopped small onion, curry leaves and red chilli.
  • After onion changes its colour add mutton and turmeric powder.
  • Once the mutton started to cook add the ground masala,  salt and cook for 5 mins and add water.
  • Pressure cook the mutton for 5 whistles.
  • Transfer the gravy into a pan add pepper powder and cook till the gravy gets a thick consistency,
  • Finely garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Side dish for rice,roti,idly,dosa.
