DAL FRY


Cooking time: 30 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • Toor dal - 1/2cup
  • Moong dal - 1/2cup
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2tsp
  • Red chilli - 3
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
  • Onion - 1cup
  • Tomato - 3/4cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/2tsp
  • Garam masala -1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves 
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Ghee
  • Oil
  • Coriander leaves


PREPARATION


  • Cook Toor dal and moong dal in a pressure cooking by adding water and turmeric powder for 4whistles.
  • In a pan add oil and ghee 3 tsp,  mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves, red chilli and green chilli.
  • Then add onion cook till it gets a light brown colour. then add ginger garlic paste.
  • Add tomato, red chilli powder, coriander powder,garam masala. cook till oil separates.
  • Then add cooked dal, salt and 1/2 cup water.
  • Cook for 5 mins and garnish with coriander leaves, onion and lemon.
  • Side dish for roti, jeera rice.
