BITTER GOURD ROAST


Cooking time: 30 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • Bitter gourd (pavakkai) - 250 gms
  • Onion - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato - 1/4 cup
  • Garlic - 5
  • Curry leaves
  • Green chilli -1
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt
  • Coconut oil - 5 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 


PREPARATION

  • Clean the bitter gourd and cut into small pieces. Add a 3 tsp of oil and fry the bitter gourd.
  • Cook till the bitter gourd changes its colour. Take another pan and add 2tsp of oil, garlic, onion, green chilli, curry leaves.
  • Once the onion cooked well add tomato.
  • After 5 mins add fried bitter gourd and red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Cook for another 5 mins and off the stove.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
