EGG SALNA


Cooking time: 40 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • Egg - 2
  • Onion-2
  • Tomato -3
  • Pepper - 1/2tsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1tsp
  • Poppy seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2tsp
  • Coconut - 1/4cup
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2tsp
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Water
PREPARATION

GRINDING 
  • In a pan add oil .fennel seeds, pepper, onion, curry leaves, poppy seeds and cook for 5 mins
  • Add tomato once the onion changes its colour. add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and coconut and cook for 5 mins.
  • Grind the paste in a mixture grinder.
GRAVY
  • In a pan add oil, fennel seeds, onion and cook for 5-10  mins.
  • Then add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli.
  • Then add tomato and cook well.
  • Once the tomato is cooked well add the ground paste, salt and water and let it cook till oil separates from the gravy.
  •  Beat the eggs with salt and pepper.
  •  Scramble the egg.
  • Add the egg into the gravy,
  • You can have salna without adding eggs also.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Side dish for idly,dosa,chapati,paratha.
