INGREDIENTS
- White eye beans - 100gms
- Basmati rice -250gms
- Onion - 1
- Green chilli- 4
- Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
- Cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf -1 (each -1)
- Cumin seed - 1tsp
- Coconut milk -1 cup
- Water
- Salt
- Oil and ghee
- Mint leaves - 15 gms
- Coriander leaves -15gms
- Soak white eye beans in water overnight or for 8-9 hours.
- Cook the beans in the cooker for 2 whistles.
- In a pressure cooker add oil and ghee and then add whole spices and onion.
- Once the onion is cooked add ginger garlic paste and green chillis.
- Then add few coriander and mint leaves and coconut milk and water.
- Once the water started to boil add salt and rice.
- Close the cooker and wait for two whistles.
- Once the pressure is down open it and add balance coriander leaves and mint leaves and add one tsp of ghee and serve.
