SHAHI TUKADA

INGREDIENTS

  • Milk - 1litre
  • Condensed milk - 1/4 cup
  • Nuts - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Bread - 5 slices
  • Ghee
  • Water
PREPARATION

  • In a pan add milk and let it reduce to 1/2 litre. Then add condensed milk and sugar 3tsp and stir well. Again let it boil for 5-10 mins.
  • Then add nuts ( badam, pistha, cashew nuts and walnuts ) .add nuts by grinding or finely chopped.
  • Keep the milk in the fridge.
  • Add ghee in a pan and fry the bread slices and cut into two pieces of each slice.
  • Then in a pan add sugar and water and make a sugar syrup. (sugar syrup needs to be in liquid consistency, not in string level. once the sugar dissolves in the water off the stove)
  • Add cardamom in sugar syrup.
  • Dip the bread slices in sugar syrup and keep it in a plate.
  • Pour the milk mixture above the bread slices and sprinkle few nuts and serve.
