YAM PORIAL

INGREDIENTS

  • Yam-250gms
  • Onion-1cup
  • Red chilli-3
  • Ginger-1tsp
  • Garlic-1tsp
  • Cloves-1
  • Cinnamon-1
  • Coconut -1/4cup
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Turmeric powder
PREPARATION


  • Clean and Cut the yam into small pieces ...In a pan add water, turmeric powder and 1tsp oil, salt and boil the yam..(yam should be half cooked)
  • Drain the excess water from yam and keep it.
  • In a pan add 3 -4tsp oil add onion, curry leaves and cook well...
  • Grind ginger, garlic, cloves, cinamon, red chilli and coconut.
  • Once the onion is cooked add the paste and cook well ..wait till the oil separate from the gravy.
  • Then add yam and little water and salt...
  • Mix well and close the pan and cook for mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
